Which BGC cafes have wifi?

Four cafes tag wifi on OpenStreetMap. Two of them also cover long days on Google Maps: Starbucks 8 Forbes Town on Forbes Town Road, open 6 am to midnight daily, and Starbucks Shangri-La The Fort under the One Bonifacio High Street label, open 6:30 am to midnight daily. That second branch is the only BGC cafe whose wifi tag also says free of charge. The Fat Seed on 27th Street tags wifi too and lists 7 am to 10 pm most days, 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

My Tea in the Kabayan group, the other one, has no hours on file. The Tim Hortons at Burgos Circle also tagged wifi, but Google Maps marks it permanently closed, so it is left out. 5 more cafes tag no wifi, including the Starbucks at Uptown Parade. The other 89 say nothing either way, which means ask, not "no".

Which BGC cafes are open for a full workday?

46 cafes with readable hours are open from 8 am through 6 pm on a Monday, and 23 of them are Starbucks rows. On a Sunday the count drops to 37, partly because Google Maps lists no weekend hours for 8 Starbucks branches, among them two of the three Starbucks rows under the Forum South Global label, on 5th Avenue and 25th Street. These counts leave out the six listings Google Maps marked permanently closed when we checked on 23 September and 6 October 2026, and the two it marked temporarily closed never count as open.

For a late session, 32 are still open at 10 pm on a Monday. Google Maps lists two mapped cafes as open 24 hours every day, Caffe Pocofino on 30th Street and Nihon Cafe on Estrella Street, and both are in these counts. The Fat Seed's 24/7 tag on OpenStreetMap doesn't match its Google hours, so don't plan an all-nighter there.

What should you check before you open your laptop?

Ask a few plain questions first, before you unpack. A cafe with wifi isn't a shared office, and a short check saves a wasted trip.

• Are laptops welcome at this time of day?
• Where's the nearest outlet you can actually reach?
• Is there a stay limit or a minimum order?
• How's the noise for a call, and will you need headphones?
• Did you save your files in case the wifi drops?

Keep the ask specific. Say you'd like to read, write, or join a call, and check the rule for that. Then order something, since a small purchase is how you hold a seat for the session.

Can you work outside at a BGC cafe?

Sometimes, and the tags give you a head start. 7 cafes tag an outdoor seat as "yes", including a Starbucks on 28th Street, the Starbucks at Uptown Parade, Coopers Coffee Haus, and Toby's Estate at One Bonifacio. Two more, Black Coffee at SM Aura and KOI Thé, tag seating as outdoor only, and 5 tag no outdoor seating.

An outdoor table trades wall outlets and steady wifi for air and light. Ask which seats are covered at your planned time, and for focused work, pick a shaded indoor corner over a bright table where you can't read your screen.

How do you look after your things while you work?

Keep your bag where you can see it, and lock your screen when you step away for a refill. Take valuables with you rather than asking a stranger to watch them, and keep private files off the screen in a packed room.

Bring enough charge for a change of plan, since a listed outlet might serve shop equipment or another table. If a spot doesn't work out, keep a backup nearby, and browse BGC cafes by area to find one close by.
